New Terminology for a New Era
With the launch of Aero, the internal terminology of the system will be updated.
The biggest change is that Aero will use “staking” where Aerodrome used “locking,” and “allocating” where Aerodrome used “voting.”
The goal of these changes is to make the language used more accessible to a broader audience. This updated terminology will sunset imprecise language as well as terms with inaccurate associations and/or that no longer reflect how the system works (e.g. a “lock” sounds like something that cannot be traded or transferred, and “ve” is a legacy artifact from the previous era).
